‘THE FAIREST OF THEM ALL’: BINI SET FOR THE GRANDEST P-POP CONCERT AT THE BIG DOME

Under the bright lights of the Big Dome, HERSTORY beckons. With a legion of Blooms up to the fabled rafters, the majestic show is on.

What used to be a distant dream turns to a fitting reality today — at long last — as the Filipino pop girl group BINI becomes the fairest of them all in the grandest of show at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.

All roads lead to Araneta, as the saying goes, and BINI finally hits this coveted, iconic stop with a three-day soldout concert dubbed as the Grand BINIverse in front of almost 50,000 fans, serving as an encore to its first solo major concert also for three days at the nearby New Frontier Theater back in June.

That’s aside from the packed regional BINIverse tours in Baguio, Cebu and General Santos City as well as an international trip in Canada with four stops in Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Toronto.

Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna and Sheena used to only busk with little to no audience in Luneta and Baguio. They handed out flyers and posters in Binondo for mere introduction to the public.

Countless of tears and sweat and blood after, now they’re here.

And they’re ready to pour it all in and rock the famed Big Dome, where they join an elite list of legendary music and sporting acts, whether local and international, to have ever performed there.

“From BINIverse to Grand BINIverse so talagang engrandeng concert ‘yung ibibigay namin sa Blooms,” said Stacey, one of BINI’s rappers along with Mikha and Aiah.

“Dream po talaga namin ‘yung Araneta. Tuwing training, ‘What’s up, Araneta?’ mga ganun, pero ngayon, totoo na siya,” beamed BINI’s main dancer Sheena.

Grand it is for the Nation’s Girl Group with a world-class 360 stage set.

OPM legends Gary Valenciano, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Vice Ganda, Maymay Entrata, drag queens and dance crew TPM, champions of the Super 24 dance tournament in Singapore, are also guest stars.

Then there’s the live band of Six Part Invention and the Orchestra of the Filipino Youth, making it a grand assembly of musical talents all over.

“It’s really a culmination of talents and skills,” said Aiah, also one of BINI’s main visuals with Mikha.

“Doble ‘yung challenge sa amin kasi bukod doon sa bagong choreo na inaral namin ay iisipin namin ‘yung change ng blocking kasi lahat ng phasing namin, nag-iiba po talaga,” added BINI’s leader Jhoanna, joining Gwen as BINI’s lead vocalists.

For BINI, that’s a welcoming challenge they’re more than ready to embrace and live up to – just like the rocky path of struggle they have to crawl just to be where they are and become who they are now.

Isa po sila sa mga talagang tumulong sa BINI noong mga times na hindi pa kami kilala. It will be a very iconic and memorable moment for us,” emphasized Maloi, one of BINI’s main vocalists along with Colet.

Recently, BINI behind a bevy of chart-topping songs in the Philippines was named by Teen Vogue as one of the 12 Girl Groups to Watch in 2024 and by the Recording Academy as one of Grammy’s 12 Rising Girls Groups To Know Now.

The Nation’s Girl Group was also crowned with the Best Asia Act at the prestigious MTV Europe Music Awards in Manchester, England.

But at home with Blooms in the group’s biggest concert yet, BINI is simply Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna and Sheena – the fairest of them all.

And how could they not be?
