GROUP OF THE YEAR: BINI SWEEPS 3 NOMINATIONS AT THE 10TH WMAs

BINI picked up from where it left off, starting the New Year in flying colors after sweeping all of its nominations at the 10th Wish Music Awards at the New Frontier Theatre.

On the heels of becoming the country’s No. 1 artists paired by top-charting songs across all music platforms in 2024, BINI was hailed as the Group of the Year by the WMAs to begin its bid for a bigger 2025.

The Nation’s Girl Group secured one of the major recognitions in the prestigious event attended by the country’s finest artists.

All eight members were present as BINI also scooped the Pop Song of the Year for Pantropiko and Pop Performance of the Year for Karera.

BINI, made up of Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna and Sheena, won all of their nominations despite losing in the fan voting, which accounted for 30% of the overall criteria.

The octet, however, got the nod of 70% from judges owing to an overwhelming metrics from their success in the entire 2024 from one platform to another.

Literally, it’s BINI’s year.

BINI’S domination at the WMAs added to its fast-growing list of achievements after wins at the PMPC Star Awards for Music, Awit Awards, Myx Music Awards and P-POP Music Awards as well as the international bodies like the Breaktudo Awards in Brazil, K-POWER 100 in South Korea, Jupiter Music Awards in Indonesia and the renowned MTV Europe Music Awards in England.

The world’s rising girl group was also recognized as the P-POP Stars of the Year Gold Champion at the 2024 Tag Awards Chicago in USA.
