BINI NAMED BILLBOARD PH’S WOMEN OF THE YEAR

From Rising Star to Women of the Year.

BINI’s meteoric rise in only a year reached its pinnacle after being hailed by the Billboard Philippines as the 2025 Women of the Year in the Women in Music: The Executive Edition Awards last March at The Peninsula Manila.

The Nation’s Girl Group was the second recipient of Billboard’s highest award at the annual Women In Music, where BINI was named the Rising Star last year, following the steps of the one and only Sarah Geronimo-Guidicelli.

And no less than the Popstar Royalty, the inaugural honoree of Women of the Year citation, bestowed the award to the octet made up of Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna and Sheena.

“From their chart-topping hits and groundbreaking influence on OPM, hanggang sa pag-captivate nila sa libu-libong tagahanga at tagapakinig sa buong mundo, ipinakita talaga nila kung ano ang kahulugan ng pag-angat ng artistry ng Pilipino,” said Geronimo.

It’s no secret that BINI’s inspiration growing up and during its intensive training at the height of the ABS-CBN shutdown and the COVID-19 pandemic was Geronimo, making it a poetic passing of the torch for the country’s pop stars.

“Sabi kanina ni Ms. Sarah G, kami ang inspirasyon ng bagong henerasyon pero alam niyo po ba, kayo ang naging inspirasyon namin. Ever since trainees kami, kapag tinatanong sino ang nagi-inspire sa’min, ang sagot namin ay si Ms. Sarah G,” added BINI’s leader Jhoanna.

From Tala to Talaarawan, from Kilometro to Karera indeed.

BINI’s Women of the Year award was the latest recognition to its fast-growing treasure chest led by Best Asia Act citation at the MTV Europe Music Awards, Voices of Asia (along with SB19) at the Billboard Korea, International Breakout Artist at the BreakTudo Awards in Brazil, Breakout Artist in Spotify Global and No. 1 artist in the Billboard Philippines.

BINI is just getting started and with Geronimo’s inspiration and guidance, the Nation’s Girl Group is set to conquer the world with its BINIVERSE World Tour starting next month.

“As women in music, we want to continue inspiring, growing, learning, [and] breaking barriers to show that Filipinos can shine on any stage,” Jhoanna beamed.

“Sana ‘tong award na ‘to, maging reminder na success is not just about talent. It’s about heart, hard work, and courage to keep going no matter what.”
