BILLIONAIRES CLUB: BINI BREACHES 1 BILLION STREAMS ON SPOTIFY

There is no stopping the Nation’s Girl Group anytime soon.

Adding another feather in its cap, BINI reached a record-breaking 1 billion streams across all credits on Spotify, the world’s top music platform, to become the first-ever P-POP group to do so.

The female octet breached the mark on March 19, totaling 1,001,243, 438 as of writing in a massive growth from its humble beginnings.

Overall, BINI amassed over 950 million streams in the past year alone after only a 50-million stream count early last year to become one of the fastest rates in the rich Philippine music history.

The glaring acceleration reflected the group’s meteoric rise in 2024 as the country’s top artist based on all music platforms while stepping up its drive for an international recognition and world domination.

At home though, BINI has established a household name with its entry to the Elite Billlionaires’ Club.

Apart from being the first P-POP group, BINI also became the youngest OPM group ever to breach 1 billion streams with only an average age of 21.6 among 8 members.

The octet also followed Moira Dela Torre as only the second female artist in history while being the first all-female OPM group, sixth OPM group and 15th OPM artist overall.

BINI joined the select list with Moira, Ben&Ben, Zach Tabudlo, December Avenue, Arthur Nery, Parokya ni Edgar, Hev Abi, Flow G, Skusta Clee, Silent Sanctuary, Eraserheads, Al James, Adie and TJ Monterde.

From its 1 billion streams, Pantropiko – BINI’s biggest hit to date – accounted for the majority of the total with over 177 million streams.

Salamin, Salamin and Karera followed with 175 and 106 million streams, respectively.

The said songs, dubbed as BINI’s Holy Trinity, were all part of the Talaarawan EP, which to its lonesome had over 500 million streams, becoming the most-streamed female album on Spotify worldwide in 2024, another historic feat for any P-POP groups.

Lagi (80M) and Cherry on Top (58M) rounded out the Top 5 of BINI’s most-streamed tracks with Huwag Muna Tayong Umuwi (55M) at close sixth place. Comeback single Blink Twice is at 14M.

Apart from Talaarawan, Lagi’s mother album in Feel Good recently breached the 200 million-streamed mark as well.

BINI, up to date, remains the only P-POP group in history two 200-million streamed albums. Debut album Born To Win is at 130M.

BINI’s 1 billion streams were scattered in more than 183 countries, according to the Spotify Wrapped 2024, as the group’s also boasts 4.2 monthly listeners and 4.3 followers on the said platform – the most for any P-POP groups.

It was a full bloom indeed for BINI – made up of Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna and Sheena.

And they’re not done just yet.

Fresh from a herstoric feat as the first Filipino group to headline a solo concert at the Philippine Arena – the world’s largest indoor venue – the octet is set for its first World Tour.
